Morrison is manufacturing three (3) SPECTRUM™ Indigo Rope Dye Ranges for the following Chinese customers.
Shaoguan Shunchang Weaving/Prosperity with offices in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai and New York was founded in 1995 and has a 130,000 m2 production plant with annual capacity of 30 million yards. Shaoguan/Prosperity, selected Morrison’s Indigo Rope Dye Range for their upcoming denim expansion as rope dyed denim will minimize waste and reduce cost of short run dye lots. Their range with include multiple dye boxes and process control features allow them to produce the highest quality fashion fabrics.
Upper Universe (established 1986) has over 500 employees with factories in Huazhou and Kaiping covering an area of 100,000 m2. Upper Universe is known for their continued development of new and innovative denim fabrics which prompted their decision to move from sheet dyeing to rope dyeing. Their jointly designed Morrison range will include know how gained from over 300 installations combined with valuable input from Upper Universe’s experienced technical team.
Hebei XinDaDong Textiles Printing and Dyeing began production of denim in 1985 and presently has 60,000 spindles, 180 looms and 3 production lines of indigo sizing & dyeing. Their main products are yarn, denim fabrics and garments. With more than 2,300 employees, this company presently produces 20 million yards denim. The decision to change from sheet dye and invest in Morrison rope dyeing was influenced by one of their major buyers who required darker shades and fastness only obtainable on our rope dye range.
LNJ Denim (RSWM Ltd) selected Morrison Rope Dye and Integrated Flex Finishing Range when they started denim production in 2006. Their FF Denim Finishing Range, which was the first machine in India with this process flexibility, was designed to process Soft Finish, Flat Finish/Mercerize and Sulfur Over Dye fabrics.
Due to expanding product mix and increased production demands for fashion fabrics, LNJ has purchased two (2) Morrison RB 550 ReBeamers for installation in the second quarter. These Long Chain Beamers will feature AC Drives, Reverse Drive Accumulators, Sheet Strummers and Single End Winders.
Oswal Denim Ltd began production of classical denim fabrics in 2005 and recently Mr. Kamel Oswal, Managing Director, selected Morrison Denim Systems for his upcoming denim production expansion to be located near Bhopal.
Mr. Oswal’s order includes a second Morrison Integrated Denim Finishing Range and another Indigo Rope Dye Range.
The Integrated Denim Finishing Range will include our latest Modular Component Design and Rubber Belt Shrinking Unit with Catenary Loop Control which automatically adjusts rubber belt pressure based on pre set fabric loop between the Rubber Belt Unit and Palmer. Also, AutoGRIND™/GrindVAC system is to be included for the first time in India. With this system, fabric processed since last belt grind cycle is recorded and operators are alerted at previously input production set points to activate the automatic grind cycle. These frequent grind cycles result in more consistent shrinking and reduced down time (2hrs) for scheduled belt maintenance. During the grinding cycle, GrindVAC captures composite grindings and talcum particles which improves the working environment and reduces clean up time.
Oswal’s dye range will incorporate industry proven designs for processing light and dark indigo shades, mixed yarns (slub and count) and varied sulfur applications. This process flexibility know how gained from over 300 rope range installations will allow Oswal to produce fabrics with authentic character, uniquely suited for today’s fashion silhouette.
Mr. Oswal stated he selected Morrison Denim Systems for this expansion due to highly competent after sales technical support from the Sagar Industries/Morrison team.
